Original Design Hand Made Furniture from Reclaimed
Timber
We handmake furniture, frames and mirrors from naturally
distressed reclaimed timber and metal in our Dorset
workshop. Most of our timber is supplied by Stephen
from Prodem Demolishers, who makes an effort to ensure
that the timber from his demolition sites is reclaimed
and not destroyed.
We then revive this
valuable timber transforming it into unusual pieces of
furniture. The old hardworking floor boards, joists,
rafters and trusses are put into retirement as
functional yet ascetically pleasing individual pieces.
We have been privileged
to acquire the timber salvaged by Stephen from the late
JRR Tolkien's former demolished home, Woodridings, in
Lakeside Road, Poole. JRR Tolkien CBE is famous for his
wonderful books, The Lord of The Rings and The Hobbit
and are currently handmaking limited edition furniture
from this timber to order .
We create original pieces, which are
functional and affordable as well as pleasing to the
eye. We combine minimalist, contemporary and industrial
design while applying traditional and industrial
construction methods. From the city apartment to the
converted barn our furniture completes any surrounding.
The end result is timeless.
Our
range includes anything from small side tables,
frames, mirrors, cabinets, chests, chairs to banquet tables.
We also undertake shop fitting and commissions for
hotels, guest houses, bars and restaurants to our unique
style at realistic prices. We create pieces for general
sale as well as making to measure for individual
customers.
